ZAVIA · PROJECT GUIDE
Build and install Zavia from source
Start with the published Zavia build guide: Linux, OpenJDK 17, Ant, Python and a graphical environment.
Start with published sources
The public starting point is the source repository and its build guide. This site does not offer a verified one-click installer. A maintainer’s local package is not a public binary release.
Check prerequisites first
The documented primary environment is Linux desktop with OpenJDK 17, Apache Ant and Python 3.10+. Java 3D/OpenGL needs compatible graphics. The MCP bridge requires POSIX permissions; Windows operation is not established, and this site does not verify a ready-to-use macOS distribution.
Build matching components
Follow the guide to build the desktop core and matching MCP plugin from the same revision in a fresh output directory. Preserve existing sessions and important drawings. Compilation alone does not establish graphical compatibility or production stability.
Run deliberately
The build guide separates compilation, preparing a run directory and launching the application. Read its current commands and limitations before running them; do not substitute an old local binary for a failed build.
